As a book author, you’ve worked hard to craft your story and create something that is unique and special. But what good is all of that effort if the final product isn’t polished? That’s why proofreading and editing are so important for authors – they ensure that your work looks as professional as possible.

Proofreading involves checking for typos, grammar mistakes, spelling errors, incorrect punctuation usage etc., while editing goes one step further by looking at the overall structure of the text. It can involve rewriting sentences or paragraphs to improve clarity or flow; adding more description where needed; ensuring consistency in terms of tone/style; making sure there are no plot holes etc.. Both processes help take an already great piece of writing up a notch!
